It is the policy of the DART Police department to enforce laws in a responsible and professional manner, without regard to race, ethnicity or national origin. DART Police officers are strictly prohibited from engaging in racial profiling. DART Police officers shall conduct themselves in a dignified and respectful manner at all times when dealing with the public.
The DART Police department is committed to unbiased policing in all its encounters between officers and any person; to reinforce procedures that serve to ensure public confidence and mutual trust through the provision of services in a fair and equitable fashion; and to protect our officers from unwarranted accusations of misconduct when they act within the dictates of departmental policy and the law.
If a person has a complaint regarding a DART Police officer's delivery of police services, their demeanor, conduct, alleged racial profiling, or any other form of misconduct, the person should contact the DART Police department by phone (at 214-749-5900) or in person (at 1333 N. Stemmons Frwy., Dallas, Texas 75207) and ask for a police management official. Any police management official can take a complaint and explain the complaint process.
