St. Paul Station is the first in line for this transformation, with initial work activity scheduled for approximately 60 days in which the station will remain open. Then, for another 30 days or so, with work concentrated near the track area, the station will be closed for passenger safety. Upon completion, the process will be repeated at Pearl Station, then at Akard Station before concluding with West End Station. At West End, a temporary platform will be built and no closure will occur.
When the temporary station closings take place, DART will provide special shuttle bus service to the nearest available stations. Area businesses will remain open, and signage will redirect patrons in case normal access is blocked. Rail schedules will remain unchanged; however, passengers needing to use the shuttles are encouraged to allow extra time for their trips. As always, we urge you to be alert around any construction area and to refer to the safety tips at the end of this message. In the meantime, look for updates onboard your train, visit www.DART.org or call 214-979-1111 for the latest information.
