The first of its kind in the metroplex, the new Tom Landry Freeway (I-30) Managed HOV Lanes allow Single Occupancy Vehicles (SOVs) the flexibility and convenience of using HOV lanes. SOVs will be charged a fee for using the service in accordance with approved regional policies.Currently only vehicles with two or more occupants and other eligible vehicles will be allowed to use the lanes. When Phase II opens in 2008, SOVs will also be eligible. All fee collection will be done electronically using tags mounted on the commuter's vehicle.
