Any school or group in DART's 13 member cities (Addison, Carrollton, Cockrell Hill, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Garland, Glenn Heights, Highland Park, Irving, Plano, Richardson, Rowlett and University Park) can participate.
Making transit approachable for everyone!
A few of the ways DART's Transit Education program is making a difference in the community is by reaching out to schools (K-12), senior groups and civic organizations:- 20 minute on-site presentations and educational tours with an emphasis on safety, how to ride, code of conduct, careers, public art, expansion, and more
- Speakers for career days, AVID, PTA, staff development, or special events
- Bilingual presentations
- On the GO! curriculum
- Job shadowing and unpaid internships
- Annual Student Poster Contest Winners
- Senior Citizen group presentations and tours
- Annual Older Americans Month Information and Health Fair (Thursday, May 13, 2010)
